Hey Seniors!

Cannot believe that's us already! But anywho, we hope everyone had a great summer and first couple days of school. The time has come to nominate people for Homecoming Court, so surprise surprise. We must hold a meeting!

Monday, August 31st, 3:00 pm - Room 425

Plan to be there if you want to be on the court representing the class!

Updates Again!

On Thursday, May 12, 2009, the junior class elected the new officers for next year. The results are as followed:

President - Crystal Onyeador
Vice President - Reena Anthraper
Secretary - Keshia Anerobi
Treasurer - Dianna Nguyen
Historian - Minh Tran

Congratulations to the new/old officers! It's gonna be a great year!

In addition, a few things have changed. If you haven't already heard, the Teacher/Student Volleyball Game and Powder Puff have been canceled due to lack of participation. If we want to make things happen we have to get involved! This means next year we have to work three times as hard because of the money we lost in these two major fundraisers!!! I hope everyone is up for the challenge.

Updates!

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long since we've updated the website. There's a few new things going on so here they go:

• May 5th & 6th - Powderpuff registration during both lunches. $25. Have your money ready. Spots are limited.
• May 6th - GENERAL MEETING IN ROOM425 AFTER SCHOOL!
• May 12th - Senior Officer [2010] Elections. Don't forget to vote during lunch for who you think would do the best job, not your friends!!
  
• May 15th - Student/teacher volleyball game during both lunches. Price TBD
• May 21st- POWDERPUFF GAME. Starts at 4:00 p.m. Costs $2 to spectate. It's going to be a lot of fun, so come out and support the Junior and Senior classes.

Feb 4: 1st Meeting - Agenda/Minutes

Agenda:
· Welcome/ introduction
· Election of officers (not popularity vote)

Chairmen:
· Prom chair: Ti'Sheia
· Parking space: Amy
· Powder puff: Jasmine and Destiny
· Donuts: Patrice and Alexis
· Candy stix: Dami and Tiffany
· Fun run: Paige , Tasha, and Bertha
· T-shirts : Minh

Description of Each Chairman's Job (does not include committee member responsibilities):

· Prom chair: This job is very important. They will keep track of what’s going on with prom activities.
· Parking spaces: These will be painted during the summer. Students choose where they want their parking spot.
· Powder puff: The girls are football players and the boys are cheerleaders. This job is to talk to the senior class and meet with the head football coach to see if we can have this event before the spring game.
· Donuts: This job will be inherited by the juniors from the seniors after spring break. Chairman has to pick up donuts at 6:30 in the morning at Krispy Kreme.
· Candy stix: Will be sold for 25 cents each. It is a quick and easy fundraiser.
· Fun run and charity donations: This is a 5k run where we'll probably charge about $20 as an entry fee. (includes elementary and middle school students, and the community) We are considering donating a portion to a charity. (will discuss at next meeting)
· T-shirts: This person has the job of getting the word out for the t-shirt design contest, logo, and motto… also in charge of senior (for next year) and junior shirts/jerseys.

Other ideas:
· Movie night
· Teacher – student volleyball or basketball game
· School dance
· St. Patrick's Day Fundraiser

Thank you so much to those of you who attended the meeting today. Although it was a late start in the year, it was a GREAT start. Everyone has some fantastic ideas and they are already being put into serious thought and consideration.
